TBS and TNT have recently announced both the release of brand new streaming apps for Roku which will provide viewers with a new way to watch media content from both Turner networks digitally. According to a press release, the new upgrades incorporate Vizbee technology to permit Roku viewers to cast content mercilessly from a mobile device to any attached screen, without the need for a special app or plug-in. The apps also now include an “instant-on” feature, which allows users to watch premium content as soon as they open the app or website. The new “freeviews” feature permits first-time users to see up to 5 minutes of any on-demand program or 10 minutes of any live event before being asked to sign in to an verified account.
